University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel

A chapel that shows several of Scotland’s leading twentieth century glass artists in one building. Douglas Strachan devised the scheme for the nave and completed the five windows on the north side. His student Gordon Webster finished two south-side windows from Strachan’s designs in the 1950s, and Keith New made three more in 1966. Lawrence Lee designed the east window, which contrasts figures of Nature and Science.
