Birds

Birds have been a subject for glass painters and designers since the medieval period, from the dove and the pelican in church windows to the kingfishers, herons and peacocks of Victorian and Arts and Crafts panels. In homes, pubs and public buildings they are a popular choice for leaded lights, etched glass and screens, often shown in flight or perched among foliage.
