Bridge

Bridges and other feats of engineering make striking subjects for glass, particularly where they stand for a place or a region. The Menai Suspension Bridge, designed by Thomas Telford and opened in 1826 to link Anglesey with the Welsh mainland, is one example, shown here in coloured glass panels. The photographs below show bridges as a subject in decorative glass.
