Contemporary

Contemporary glass covers work made from about the 1970s onward, and the term is also used for new work in any style. Modern techniques such as sandblasting, kiln forming and bonded overlay sit alongside traditional leaded and copper foil glass, and new commissions range from church windows to restaurants, homes and public buildings. See stained glass styles by period for how the eras compare.
