This guide covers stained glass in cathedrals, churches, museums, theatres, houses and other buildings across the UK. Those responsible for a building can claim its page to approve photography, so that a detailed page can be written about the building.
What claiming a location does
- Approves photography. It gives permission to photograph the glass and to publish the photographs on this site.
- Allows a fuller page. Approved photographs are used to build a detailed page covering the windows, makers and dates, with credits in the wording you choose.
- Adds a link. Once photographs are approved, a link to the building’s own website is added to its page.
- Invites corrections. Facts on the page can be corrected or added to on request.
What it does not do
- It does not give editing access to the site. Pages are written and kept by the site.
- It does not cost anything, and no payment is involved.
- Nothing is published without approval.
How it works
- Send the form below with the name of the building, your role and an email address that can be checked.
- Your claim is checked, usually by a reply to an official address.
- Once approved, photographs are taken or supplied, and the page is expanded and credited as you prefer.
